Originally opened 1860, Stagecoach Inn is a Texas landmark. Known by other names in the past – Salado Hotel and Shady Villa Hotel – it is as Stagecoach Inn that it is most well-known. As the 2nd oldest, continuously running inn or hotel in the state, travelers have parked their wagon, horse or vehicle at this iconic inn for over 160 years.
With 48 newly renovated guest rooms, a full service restaurant, private event spaces, and a resort-style pool, Stagecoach is an ideal meeting place or road-trip destination in Central Texas.
All of our standard rooms offer a king or two queen beds and a private balcony or patio. Suites offer an additional living and dining room with a pull-out couch for enhanced guest accommodation and comfort.
The legendary Stagecoach Restaurant is reopened, serving American classics and historical favorites. (Yes, the hushpuppies are back!) Stagecoach Western Club, a poolside spot, is open seasonally for snacks and libations to guests of the inn & locals alike.
